We have our tried and true (Broadcom based) routers for medium range.
Asus WL520GU
Buffalo WHR-HP-G54
Linksys WRT54GL
We will continue to support these routers and provide custom DD-WRT firmware for them.

However we are now looking forward to the Atheros based devices now and feel this is the future of wifi.

Open-Mesh routers are a good example of using Atheros based routers to instantly deploy large mesh networks. Open-Mesh are plug and play routers that integrate seamlessly with the WiFi Gator billing solution.
